GERMAN FOODTECH Circus ACQUIRES Aitme TO FACTOR-IN COOKING ROBOTS TO ITS INFRASTRUCTURAL STACK

Hamburg-based company which cooks and delivers food to customers from its micro-kitchens has reportedly gained access to cutting-edge kitchen robotics technology through its recent acquisition of Aitme. However, it’s significant to note that foodtech Circus acquiring Berlin-based Aitme, which has brought a cooking robot to market maturity since 2019 meant an advanced approach to its service delivery.
On-boarding Aitme which has excelled in the field of cooking with the aid of robots since its establishment in 2019 undoubtedly offers diversity and the icing on the cake required by Circus to scale.
“At Circus, we are advancing a vision of the future where technology converges with gastronomy to create unique culinary experiences that cater to the diverse needs of modern consumers. Aitme’s exceptional robotics expertise complements the proprietary infrastructure of our micro kitchen hubs, seamlessly blending software-based technology with artificial intelligence. Together, we are strategically positioned to further expand Circus’ services and accelerate our mission of making high-quality, fresh, and varied food accessible to everyone”, Circus’s CEO and co-founder ‘Nikolas Bullwinkel’, said.
Prior to foodtech Circus acquiring Aitme, it should be borne in mind that at the core of Circus’ success lies its proprietary micro-kitchen hub technology, intelligently combining automation and digitization. Circus’s variety of culinary offerings is crafted by artificial intelligence, which enables a wide range of personalized dishes at low production costs and with efficient resource utilization. However, since its launch in 2022, Circus has expanded its reach to Cologne, Hamburg, Duisburg, and Berlin, having secured a total of €18 million in investments.
“Circus and Aitme share a common mission: to provide people with the best food – anytime, anywhere, tailored to their individual preferences. We are thrilled that Circus will continue to advance our technology in pursuit of this mission”, ‘Emanuel Pallua’, founder of Aitme stated.
Fully automated Aitme’s kitchens excel in executing complex preparation tasks with maximum precision and efficiency. Cooking times are reduced while maintaining product quality, resulting in decreased food waste. However, Aitme primarily targets canteens with its robotic kitchen solutions. This latest development adds experienced robotics experts to Circus’s team and also integrates sophisticated cooking robots into its infrastructure.
