As societies bounce back to normalcy after the pandemic, it’s left it with – change. In that, people sort comfort and fun in their homes. This seems to be the growing popularity of ordering restaurant food to homes to enjoy with friends and family rather than the traditional approach. However, it comes as startup HOMETAINMENT on a mission in this space to shape hospitality experiences announced it exceeded its crowdfunding target.

The subject startup which used Crowdcube as the crowdfunding platform, raised about €460k to scale its mission believed to be over the initial target of about €400k, which saw an active participation of 200 investors.

Launched in 2021, HOMETAINMENT’s platform offers bespoke entertainment and hospitality at home or in the office and had a pre-money valuation of about €3.5 million.

Responding to this development, Co-founder ‘Antoine Melon’, commented: “We are very proud to have completed and overfunded our Crowdcube campaign. To complete our crowdfunding after just a year of operation is a great achievement. It sanctions a year of hard work from all the people who have supported us and believed in us, especially our experts – the ‘HOMEtainers”.

As a startup on a mission to change the future of entertainment and hospitality precisely at home, in the United Kingdom alone, it’s already a market worth billions of pounds and is expected to grow by an incredible 165% in the coming year.

The startup’s platform offers quality hospitality experiences and services to every home, creating living memories for guests in a comfortable location, familiar, and can be tied to lasting memories.

To achieve this, startup HOMETAINMENT provides exclusive access to a select group of people who really know how to entertain from as little as £250, ranging from Michelin star private chefs for an unforgettable dinner party, and international mixologists for an extraordinary cocktail garden party, to Café del Mar DJs, children’s entertainers coupled with expert tarot card readers.

Looking at the entertainment space, it’s believed that London has a global reputation for being a bit of a trendsetter in the field of entertainment, and so it’s exciting to see this new wave of inspiration emerging from the subject startup.

The company will use the fundraise to scale its platform in London as well as tap into new markets that will lead to the expansion of a variety of experiences on offer. Having served more than 2300 guests and signed a number of major partnerships, it also secured agreements with leading VIP concierge companies such as Velocity Black and Quintessentially in addition to high-end serviced apartment groups that include Cheval Collection.

Antoine added: “A huge thank you to our investors, to our HOMEtainers, to our partners, advisors, and our family & friends, you are the robust ecosystem which motivates and drives us on our journey to change the future of home entertainment and to bring back the magic of Hosting at Home, bringing together friends and family, enjoying memorable experiences in a safe and comfortable environment”.
